VADA Draw 2022 : Art from the Heart

The VADA DRAW: Art from the Heart for the Visual Arts Design Academy (VADA) will be held in person at the Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara on April 23, 2022. It will be a fun, interactive evening for our art-loving community to support VADA.

VADA is a unique public school program at Santa Barbara High School that blends academic course work with art instruction.

The VADA DRAW raises more than 30% of VADA’s annual budget, funding art education for over 300 student artists. Studies have shown that Art is not only a tool for expression and creativity, but it can lower anxiety, improve focus and self-esteem, and aid in mental health during stressful times. During this global pandemic, in addition to outstanding arts and academic education, VADA has been a vital lifeline by offering students creative outlets and a strong support system.

What is the VADA DRAW?

Each year, original works of art are donated by more than one hundred professional and amateur artists, local and national celebrities, and talented VADA alumni. At the DRAW, ticket holders are entered into a raffle and get to choose a coveted art piece to take home. Your generous donation of art helps build and sustain the VADA program, promotes individual artists, and creates community for all artists: local and global, students and professionals.

You see it! You've got to have it! Select your art on April 23 at 10am, the morning of the event. This Gotta Have It! ticket also includes entry for 2 to the VADA Draw 2022 - Art from the Heart at the Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara. Instructions for art selection will be emailed.

$150 - Admission for 2 to the VADA Draw plus ONE Draw ticket for art

$115 - Admission for 1 to the VADA Draw plus ONE Draw ticket for Art

$75 - Admission for 1 to the VADA Draw - NO Draw Ticket for Art
